Hello there! Here again to add some more to help you understand why the heck you are here.
First of all, if you hate making up fiction stories, don't join. This website game is based on the imagination of its members. So here is how it works.
Stawlk seems complicated at first, but it really isn't. Here's how it starts out. It's almost like writing a book, one person chipping in after the other. So there are these things called chapters. They are what you would imagine, like chapters out of a book, except they are made by many different authors at once. The Administrator will start the chapter with what is going on in the story and give it a direction as to where it is going. Then you and your fellow members write the chapter. Each member is a character in the book. Let me give an example:
Story: Karmen's Adventures
Chapter 1
Post by:Karmen
Karmen was just a runt in the litter of puppies. She had no siblings that liked her and her mother practically ignored her. Any human that came by to pick out a puppy would choose a strong, healthy one, not Karmen, the smallest and weakest of them all. One day when all but two of the puppies were left, a very special person came. Karmen could tell just by the smell of them. It was a little boy in a wheelchair.end post
Post by:Tasmania
Timmy Tasmania was the little boys name. As soon as he saw the little runt, he shouted
"That one!"
"Why do you want that one son?" asked the slightly stupid owner.
"Because she's like me," whispered Timmy T.end post
Post by:Panda
After being adopted by Timmy, Karmen led a very wonderful life. She never could quite walk right, but neither could the boy, even after he was out of the wheelchair. They were best friends till the day that Timmy bought Karmen a Panda chew toy.end post
Chapter 2 would be created and begun by the administrator, and then they would resume the story. Anybody can jump into the story at any time as long as they have read the previous posts. Most posts would be much longer and consist of about 300-500 words each, elaborating on everything that happens and making twists in the story. You can make yourself a character in the story or just write about already existing characters. The important thing is to not go out of your way to include your character in the story and to keep the flow going. We are writing in a professional view, not just a children's story dialog. The more you post, the higher you rank (explained on the to newcomers board) and therefor the more important your character is in the story. Everybody represents one character, though they are not present in every post.
If you have any questions, please post them on the general board.
